Stream Steam Game Logo Fetcher
A simple tool for getting a Twitch channel's current game and displaying its logo from Steam, if it exists.
HOW TO USE:
- Add a Browser Source to your OBS scene.
- Copy and paste the following text into the URL field:
https://memobee.net/stream-game-logo?channel=YOURNAME
- Replace "YOURNAME" with the username of your Twitch channel.
-
Set any width and height you like, as the image will scale to these dimensions.
I recommend using something high-resolution like 1920x1080 and then scaling/transforming the source as you would any other image in OBS.
- That's all!
- Remember to Refresh the Browser Source whenever you change games.
Bonus feature:
- For non-Steam games, you can add &igdb=true to the end of the URL.
- Optionally, you may choose the type of logo. The default is "color", but if there are no results you can try "black" or "white" by adding &type=TYPE to the end of the URL.
- For example, if I were to try to pull a full color logo for my own currently streamed game from IGDB, I would use the URL https://memobee.net/stream-game-logo?channel=memobee&igdb=true&type=color
- Like with Steam, some games have issues. In this case, it is due to IGDB having multiple entries for certain games, and Twitch providing the ID of an entry with no logo.
- Contact me to let me know if any certain game which 1. is on IGDB and 2. has a logo on its IGDB page is not working.
Known issues:
- Games with copyright/trademark symbols in their Steam title mostly don't work.
For now, I have to add them to the list myself. Click here for social links to let me know if a particular game is not working.
